Giving Our Dreams To God

Dreams.

We all have dreams. Some may have multiple dreams, some may not, but we all have at least one dream. Our dreams may vary from others - graduate from high school or from college, retire early on in life, be successful at that career, have your name in lights; help people, travel the world, be a published author, have a great marriage, be a good parent, or simply be a good friend to all and impact people's lives. Personally, I have myriads of dreams, goals and aspirations. Some just for fun, others are things I'm passionate about, and I believe God placed on my heart for a reason.

I have noticed that at times there can be a struggle to balance having dreams, and really knowing or walking in the fact that God is the Lord of your life, including your dreams and desires. As Christians, we may think that if we have a dream to do something or go somewhere it'll happen because God is good, or because that desire isn't anything off the wall and crazy, so surely we can do whatever we want, especially if it's missionary work or something educational, right? Not necessarily.

From personal experience I know that it’s often easy to get too attached to what we want to do in life and what we've planned that we mentally or literally override or forget that God is the One in charge of our lives, not us, which is why it's super important to give our dreams to God. On top of that, it's always great to be reminded that we must be heavenly focused, with a heavenly perspective. Remembering that time is running out and God's Kingdom and the reconciliation of lost souls is way more important than our pleasure. That's not to say we can't have fun of course, but it's so crucial that we are continually in right relationship with God, in His Word, in prayer, and available to be used of God wherever we are - even in the midst of having fun. I really believe there is a perfect balance of enjoying life and keeping God and His will for our lives in focus.

Let's Give God All of Our Dreams, Goals, and Aspirations.

He knows. He knows what's in our hearts. He knows even those desires we may have never verbally spoken out. Even if it's something small, as His children, He wants to give us good gifts, and He will if we're living for Him and delighting ourselves in Him. So keep dreaming big dreams, and small dreams. Dreaming is a good thing. Dreams, especially big ones, many times force us to trust God and fully rely on Him.

“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.” ~ Psalm 37:4, 5 (kjv)

As you continue to keep Christ in focus, dream big, and delight yourself in Him.

Have a Beautiful Day All You Dreamers. God Bless.
