God Gives Three Answers To Prayer

God gives three answers to prayer:

Yes, No, and Wait

Praying in God's Will ~

There are many times when we pray and ask God for something, but after awhile God seems unresponsive.

When we pray, our prayers have to be in God's will.

If it was God's will for a loved one to leave this earth and pass on to glory, He may not answer our prayer in the way we may want Him to, but He does hear us.

God's Word says in 1 John 5:15, "And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him".

This scripture tells us that God hears us and we have the confidence that He will answer when we pray in His will, but even in those times were we may pray out of His will and we don't know it, He still hears us because God sees, hears, and knows all things.

A Greater Yes ~

In a film entitled, " A Greater Yes," the main character asserts, "Sometimes when God says no, it's because there's a greater yes down the road," (slightly paraphrased).

Sometimes God's answer to our prayers are no or wait, because He has something much greater in store for our lives in the future - a greater yes!

Being Satisfied With Where God Has You ~

Sometimes when we pray and God seems not to be responding, I believe it's because we still haven't carried out or done what He has already instructed us to do.

We must be satisfied with where God has us right now before moving forward. We must be patient and allow God to shape and mold us before we launch out into full fledged ministry prematurely. We need not to be anxious, but continue to grow spiritually, obey what He speaks day by day, and let God build within us Godly character.

  1. YES. I agree with this! Sometimes I feel like people ask God for things like He's some kind of genie, but that's not the way things are. He knows what we NEED. And just because it seems like He doesn't answer right away, doesn't mean He isn't listening or doesn't care.
    Great post!

  2. I totally agree. If God says to wait, we should trust His timing and remember He knows best. :)
