God Is Moving

This past National Day of prayer, at my local assembly, we prayed for the media and the entertainment industry.

That people would hear the gospel, that God would move upon the hearts of those individuals that are well known, and those who apart of the media and entertainment industries.

God is definitely on the move in the earth at large, and even in the media and entertainment industries, specifically. Even if we don't hear about it in the news, He is moving on the hearts of mankind.

Two things that have happened recently that were in the news and lots of people were privy to were,

1) The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle back in May (watch here)

2) Chris Pratt’s speech at the MTV Awards just last week (watch here)


The Royal Wedding - The Gospel Was Preached

On YouTube I watched the wedding ceremony, and it was beautiful.

There were myriads of people, some of whom were pretty well known celebrities. Beautiful songs were sung, a cello was played, and Meghan’s dress was gorgeous.

The man who preached was Bishop Michael Curry, and he preached indeed.

I don’t want to completely rehearse what was said, but he definitely preached the gospel, and tons of people, in person or on the television, were able to hear.


Chris Pratt’s MTV Awards Speech - "God Is Real"

Just a few days ago my older sister showed my mom and I the video of Chris Pratt giving a speech at the 2018 MTV Awards.

He colorfully gave a speech addressed to today’s generation, giving advice which included solid truth, and practical tips. He literally, in a declarative voice, proclaimed that, "God is real, and He loves you."

His speech was relatable, funny, and contained truth. Even if the hearers didn’t quite catch the truths that were spoken, or maybe they tried to tune it out, they still heard it.


Yes, God Is Moving

No matter what we see or hear, God is moving. And even if it looks like evil is prevailing, God is still in control. He is omniscient. He is the alpha and omega.

The Gospel is still being preached. God's Love is still being spread. People are still coming to Christ and finding new life in Him.

Yes, in the news we hear and see a lot of grievous, saddening, negative, and horrible things, but no matter what we see God's truth is still marching on.

Even if there are people who have heard truth and are rejecting it, they still have heard it someway, somehow. It may have been a time of planting, or watering. Either way, as it says in God's Word, He gives the increase.


Thank God that He is moving in the earth today, and that His truth 
prevails.
