Why Redeeming The Times?

Redeeming The Times is an interesting name for a blog, and it has to have a story or some kind of meaning behind it right? Yes!

Some years ago I deemed Ephesians 5:15, 16 as my 'life verse.' It reads,

"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, Redeeming the times because the days are evil."

This particular passage of scripture became important to me because it reminds me to keep a heavenly focus and to walk circumspectly, cautious, with purpose, knowing that we are living in perilous times, and how now more than ever we need to be doing what God has commissioned us to do while there is still time. The other part of the scripture speaks to redeeming the times - guarding your time instead of squandering it. Not getting caught up in this world system, but walking in the reality that your time belongs to God and He gives it to us for us to use wisely.

Redeeming The Times is a blog that will hopefully help you think along those lines, with every topic posted here - redeem the times by taking time to think, mediate, pray about, and seek to be edified and encouraged as we walk this Christian walk!
